Kelsey McCune was booked into the Clackamas County Jail.
OREGON CITY, OR (KPTV) -
A 13-year-old missing girl who was in the company of a 40-year-old man known to her family has been found safe just outside of Oregon City.
The girl was reported to be in good condition but was transported to a local hospital to be checked out.
Clackamas County deputies said 40-year-old Kelsey McCune was arrested and booked into the Clackamas County Jail on charges that include kidnapping, rape, sexual abuse and custodial interference.
Deputies said they received a tip from someone who spotted two people matching the description on missing flyers. The tipster saw the two in a wooded park area at the north end of the Country Village Mobile Home Park. Neighbors told FOX 12 it was a woman walking her dog.
The SWAT Team was called in because of the size of the area to search and need to quickly cover the area.
Prior to being found, the girl was last seen Tuesday night. Her family first noticed she was missing Wednesday morning when they went to wake her up for school.
Family members said McCune was a friend.
"Kelsey is a family friend of my parents. I met him a couple times in passing, but they've known him for years, and I know he was recently down on his luck," the 13-year-old's sister told FOX 12.
An arrest warrant was issued for McCune on Friday.
