HAPPY VALLEY, OR (KPTV) -

A dozen apartments were evacuated at the Terrace at Mount Scott Apartments in Happy Valley after a large water main break.

Clackamas Fire spokesman Brandon Paxton says just before 3 p.m., a pipe on the fourth floor burst, sending water gushing into several units and knocking down sheet rock.

No injuries were reported and the Red Cross was assisting several people with temporary housing.

It's suspected the subfreezing temperatures caused the pipe to burst.
