PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A round of light snow covered the Portland metro area Tuesday morning, but it doesn't appear to be enough to wreak havoc with the morning commute.

There are, however, school delays and closures all across Oregon and southwest Washington. The largest school district to announce a delay is Vancouver, where schools will be on a two-hour late start.

The overnight snow and freezing drizzle may be the last hurrah for Oregon and southwest Washington. A winter weather advisory from the National Weather Service expires Tuesday afternoon for the metro area and western Columbia River Gorge. FOX 12 meteorologists expect temperatures to go above freezing Tuesday, and then get back to more "normal" December temperatures later this week when highs reach the 40s.
