The stars of the Portland Winterhawks handed out toys from the FOX 12 Les Schwab Tire Centers Toy Drive at local hospitals Tuesday.
The defending WHL champs signed autographs and let children pick what they wanted from the Winterhawks' haul of toys.
Spencer Chaffee at Randall Children's Hospital picked out a Transformers toy. He said he's a big Winterhawks fan.
"They are kind of like celebrities to the kid sand it will just make all the other kids feel really special," Spencer said.
"I hope we are making a little difference in their day and maybe something a little out of the ordinary for them," said Winterhawks left winger Adam Dechamplain. "Make them smile and happy before this Christmas season comes around."
The Winterhawks boosted spirits not only at Randall Children's Hospital, but also at Shriners Hospital for Children and the Portland VA Medical Center.
If you'd like to donate to the FOX 12 Les Schwab Tire Centers Toy Drive, there's only a few days left. Visit this link or text the word DONATE to 83350.
