A man accused of fracturing his 6-month-old baby's arms and leg reached a plea deal and will spend three months behind bars.

Cesar Ramirez pleaded guilty Thursday to the charge of attempted criminal mistreatment. The remaining charges of assault and criminal mistreatment were dismissed as part of his guilty plea.

The 18-year-old man was arrested in June.

Beaverton police were notified that a baby girl was brought to the doctor for an examination on June 17. After initially diagnosing a fractured arm, doctors then found six fractures in various stages of healing in both arms and one leg, according to police.

The girl was taken into protective custody and detectives began to investigate.

The girl's mother, who was 16 years old, was interviewed, along with the father, Ramirez. Other family members with access to the baby were also interviewed by Beaverton detectives.

After another interview with Ramirez, he was arrested. Police said the abuse happened at a home in Gresham.

Ramirez was sentenced Thursday to three months in jail and three years probation.
