Driver injured in semi-truck crash

NEAR EASTON, WA (KPTV) -

A semi-truck driver left the road and ended up in a precarious position Sunday evening near Washington's Snoqualmie Pass.

It happened around 4 p.m. on Interstate 90 about eleven miles west of Easton.

Washington State Police said the truck left the road, hit a barrier and became lodged there with the trailer still attached.

Pictures from the crash show the semi's cab dangling over a cliff edge.

Troopers said the driver was going to fast in the snowy conditions.

Crews rescued the truck driver, Trevor Wehrman, 22 from the cab using high angle rescue techniques, according to WSP public information officer.

Paramedics took Wehrman to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

There was no word on his condition as of Friday morning.
