PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Two suspects detectives have nicknamed "The Ninja" and "The Bandit" broke into local businesses and got away with thousands of dollars in gift cards.

Portland police released a surveillance photo in hopes of generating leads about the burglary.

The crime happened at 2:30 a.m. Sept. 30 at a commercial building in downtown Portland. Investigators said the two suspects broke into Check Cash Pacific, 418 S.W. 2nd Ave., and stole gift cards.

They also cut a hole in the wall between that business and the neighboring Big Town Hero sandwich shop.

One suspect was dressed in all black with his face covered. The second suspect wore a dark-colored track jacket and a green bandana covering the lower half of his face.

Police are calling them "The Ninja" and "The Bandit," based on their descriptions.

If you know anything about these suspects, contact Sgt. Mike Frome at 503-823-0408 or michael.frome@portlandoregon.gov.
