Two men charged with murder for Silverton shooting death

SILVERTON, OR (KPTV) -

Two people are charged with murder for the shooting death of a man in Silverton.

Police responded to a home on Olson Road on Dec. 2 and found the body of Jeffrey Lamoreaux, 30. The medical examiner performed an autopsy and determined the cause of death to be gunshot wounds to the head.

The death was also ruled a homicide.

On Friday, a Marion County grand jury issued indictments charging Uriah McKinley, 22, and Andrew Slover, 23, in connection with the case.

McKinley is charged with murder with a firearm, robbery, felon in possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of a short-barreled rifle and possession of meth.

Slover is charged with murder and robbery.

Both suspects are in the Marion County Jail and are due in court Dec. 16.

Police have not released any other details about the case.
