"The Portland Trail Blazers are off to their best start since the 1990-01 season. Introducing North East Portland native, Jonathan Stephens (Speedygunz) with the official 2013-14 season anthem 'R1p City,'" states the team's description for the video.
The Blazers were involved in creating several popular songs in the early '90s played during home games and on Portland radio stations, including Rip City Rhapsody and Bust-a-Bucket.
BlazersEdge.com said the new song received some play during the Blazers 111-104 victory over the Houston Rockets at the Moda Center Thursday night.
