NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
A 12-year-old Nashville girl who hadn't been seen since leaving school Tuesday afternoon has been found and is safe.
Metro police said Dajevonne Carriere was located Wednesday evening near Old Hickory Boulevard and Douglas Street.
Dajevonne is a Madison Middle School student and reportedly told classmates she wasn't going home at the end of the school day Tuesday. She didn't board the school bus, and efforts to find her throughout the night Tuesday were unsuccessful.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued an endangered child alert for Dajevonne on Wednesday afternoon, and she was spotted a short time later.
