Police catch man accused of robbing pharmacies for pain medication

SALEM, OR (KPTV) -

Salem police have arrested a man accused of robbing multiple pharmacies in less than a month for pain medication.

Bobby Jackson, 24, was taken into custody as he left his home on the 1900 block of Lansing Avenue Northeast Tuesday afternoon.

Jackson is accused of first robbing the Shopko pharmacy, 1230 Lancaster Drive S.E., on Nov. 13. Police said he then hit the nearby Walgreens pharmacy on Nov. 30, and the Rite Aid pharmacy on Dec. 9.

In each case, he displayed a weapon, police said, and took off with pain medications.

He is charged with robbery and possession of a controlled substance.
