CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

A convenience store owner is speaking out about a shake-down, by city trash workers -- and, it was all caught on camera.

We have video showing guys from a city trash truck at a store. They didn't get free snacks so they didn't take the trash.

A city garbage crew on their daily route near Warner Rd. and New York Ave. in Cleveland decided to not pick up the trash from one home. All because, they couldn't have free chips.

The house was connected to a small family store.

"When my dad told 'em to put the chips back, he told 'em well don't put your garbage outside no more," said Ahmad Isa.

"Every time, 5 dollars here," added the store owner.

The man behind the counter is frustrated. He says every time the trash truck workers come. they help themselves to a couple of bags of snacks and drinks.

He also says if those guys had just put back the stuff and still taken the trash, he'd have let this go. But now he's complained to city officials and we're following up with them too.

The city meantime has held a disciplinary hearings for the workers. Punishment for them is forthcoming.
