Police said a driver hit a bicyclist in Northeast Portland on Wednesday night.
The crash happened just before 9 p.m. at the intersection of North Skidmore Street and North Mallory Avenue.
Police said their preliminary investigation indicates the car was heading east on Skidmore when it hit the bicyclist, who was riding through the intersection on Mallory and going north.
Paramedics took the cyclist to a Portland hospital.
Police did not release the extent of the rider's injuries but said the person was expected to survive.
There is not a stop sign on Mallory at Skidmore, officers added.
The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
Police said it doesn't appear the driver was under the influence of intoxicants.
No citations have been issued as of early Thursday morning.
