BEAVERTON, OR (KPTV) -

Washington County sheriff's deputies arrested two men after searching for the suspects who assaulted a man near Farmington Road Thursday morning.

It wasn't immediately clear what led to the attack, but it appears it was either a carjacking or a road rage incident, according to investigators.

Deputies said the two suspects, one of whom was armed, confronted the victim near Farmington Road and Jacktown Road at 10:15 a.m. They assaulted the man, and were seen leaving the area on foot.

Sgt. Bob Ray with the Washington County Sheriff's Office says the victim was taken to the hospital with injuries to his face and head. His condition was not immediately known.

Deputies said the victim possibly knew at least one of the suspects.

Monte Crawford lives near the search area and he saw all of the patrol cars searching for the suspects.

"If it is an attempted carjacking it would be unheard of, but it happens nowadays, which is sad," said Crawford.

Deputies searched for the suspects with a K-9 team and air support. They told people who live nearby to stay inside and lock their doors, however, the area is mostly farmland.
