Police search for man who robbed SE Portland Credit Union

Police in Portland are trying to track down the man responsible for robbing a credit union on Saturday afternoon.

Portland police say it happened at about 1:52 p.m. at the Mall 205 branch of Unitus Credit Union on Southeast 96th Avenue.

Police say the man presented a demand note implying he was armed. The robber got away with an undisclosed amount of cash and left the bank without displaying any weapons.

Several officers searched the area for the man but didn't locate anyone matching the suspect's description.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 50s, 6' tall and weighing about 180 pounds.

They say he has gray hair and was wearing glasses, a tan coat, blue jeans and white shoes.
