SHERWOOD, OR (KPTV) -

Two people were rushed to the hospital, including a 17-year-old girl, after a serious crash in Sherwood on Friday night.

Emergency crews were called to the scene on the 12200 block of Southwest Tonquin Road shortly after 6 p.m. A Honda Civic and a Dodge Durango were involved in a T-bone crash, according to deputies.

Deputies said the car may have been speeding when it spun out of control and into the lane of the oncoming SUV.

The driver of the SUV was not injured.

Life Flight was initially called out, but firefighters said it couldn't fly there due to the fog.

The two patients were taken in an ambulance to the hospital. Their conditions were not known, but deputies say their injuries are severe.

The road was closed in the area while investigators worked to determine what had happened.

No other details were immediately available.
