WASHINGTON COUNTY, OR (KPTV) -

Deputies say a man whose business was rebuffed at a local pawn shop made an ominous threat, then marched to a neighboring restaurant and vandalized the place.

Officers were called to the scene at Northwest 185th and Bronson Road around 4 p.m.

Initial reports were that a man had robbed a gold exchange business, but that turned out not to be the case. Instead, investigators said Harrison Cordeiro, 29, attempted to sell some items, but was turned down.

Deputies said he then became belligerent, took off his coat and told workers that if he was there to rob them, he'd stick a .22-caliber gun in their faces, before saying that he "unfortunately" didn't have one handy.

At that point, deputies said Cordeiro went next door to the Pizza Caboose and wrote graffiti on the wall and tables. Deputies found him and arrested him.

Cordeiro was booked in the Washington County Jail on charges of disorderly conduct and menacing.

Investigators said Cordeiro also has outstanding warrants out of Beaverton and McMinnville.
