A two-alarm fire destroyed two units and damaged several others at a Nashville apartment complex on Tuesday.
The fire was reported about noon in the 8100 block of Stewarts Ferry Pike, and flames were coming through the roof of the building when firefighters first arrived to the scene.
A woman who lives in an adjacent unit said she was inside with her puppy when she smelled smoke. The woman came outside and saw her neighbor's apartment on fire, so she grabbed her puppy and got out, knocking on doors along the way to make sure others got out safely.
There are no reports of injuries or what may have caused the fire.
