GRESHAM, OR (KPTV) -

A 23-year-old Gresham man is facing criminal charges after police said he looked at pornographic photos of children on a public computer at the library.

An employee at Gresham's Multnomah County Library, at 385 NW Miller Ave., reported seeing a man looking at the illicit images on Nov. 6, 2013.

He left the building prior to officers arriving, but a subsequent investigation led police to Devon Lucas, 23.

A search warrant was served at his home on the 3500 block of Northeast 17th Avenue on Jan. 3. Lucas was arrested and charged with 10 counts of encouraging child sexual abuse.

He was booked in the Multnomah County Jail.

Police said potential evidence was seized from his home and is being processed as the investigation continues.

Investigators said Lucas has no prior arrest history and none of the child victims in the images are believed to be from the Gresham area. Police also don't believe the suspect has had any direct contact with the children in the photos.

Lucas was arraigned in court Monday and his bail was set at $200,000. He is due back in court Jan. 14.
