Police: St. Helens man suffocated under dumpster lid

ST HELENS, OR (KPTV) -

Police said a man found dead in a dumpster behind a business in St. Helens got trapped under the heavy steel lid and suffocated.

Police were called to the area behind the Walgreens Pharmacy, 175 S. Columbia River Highway, at 8 a.m. Monday.

Officers said a man's body had been discovered trapped under the dumpster lid.

The man was identified as Ryan Neveau, 26, of St. Helens.

Police released a statement saying they do not consider his death suspicious, however, "the investigation leaves questions regarding Mr. Neveau's intentions."
