CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

The FirstEnergy Stadium renovations are underway, as the stadium is preparing for cranes and construction equipment to begin the demolition phase.

The end-zone scoreboards are being disconnected and removed, in addition to plumbing systems.

Three construction teams will work concurrently to remove the large scoreboards and signs from each end of the field.

Tentatively, the east end scoreboards are set to be demolished by early February.  Other sections, including lower bowl signs, upper level signs and west end scoreboards, are tentatively set to be demolished by early March.

The stadium has been disconnecting various operating systems since its last home game Dec. 15.
