PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Police arrested a woman accused of stabbing her boyfriend in Portland's Mill Park Neighborhood on Sunday.

At about 6:45 a.m. Sunday morning, police said the woman and her boyfriend got in a fight over drugs near Southeast 127th Avenue and Market Street.

The man tried to run away after he was stabbed, but only made it a few houses down before collapsing. He is expected to survive.

Neighbors reported the couple were fighting in the parking lot of a church. Marko Lamson, who lives nearby, said he had concerns about the stabbing happening so close to people in the area.

"We live next to three schools, David Douglas and two elementary schools," Lamson said. "This is inappropriate."

Police have not released the names of the man or woman involved. The Domestic Violence Reduction Unit and the Forensic Evidence Division are heading the investigation.
