SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- In conjunction with Google's Chromebox for meetings announcement today, UberConference is proud to announce that it is the first audio conferencing app available through Google+ Hangouts. UberConference provides a dedicated phone number for each Hangout so that a traditional Hangout video conference call can now be accessed by telephone from anywhere.
UberConference provides greater accessibility to Hangouts by giving invitees the option of calling in from a phone. In addition to the 15 person conference supported by Chromebox for meetings, up to 100 people can join the Hangout through an UberConference dial-in number.
"We're thrilled Google chose UberConference as its first audio integration with Chromebox for meetings, providing the flexibility that people need, because not everyone has access to a webcam or internet all the time but still needs to be on the Hangout," said Craig Walker, UberConference CEO and co-founder. "Together, Chromebox for meetings and UberConference have mastered the perfect conference call, bridging both video and audio calls together in Hangouts and bringing simplicity and affordability to meetings."
UberConference is free, and also offers a Pro version for $10/month.
UberConference makes it easy to join a conference call, and with its visual interface for both browsers and mobile devices, users can see everybody on the call and also see who is talking at any time. Conference calling as an industry continues to grow rapidly but hasn't seen real innovation in decades. UberConference's elegant UI for web and mobile makes features easy-to-use with the click of a button, and entirely eliminates the PIN number. Built by the teams that brought Google Voice and Yahoo! Voice to tens of millions of users, UberConference launched in 2012 and is funded by Andreessen Horowitz and Google Ventures. Learn more.
