Man accused of attempted murder for Lloyd Center Mall stabbing

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Police arrested a 19-year-old in Vancouver accused of attempted murder for stabbing a teenager inside the Lloyd Center Mall.

The 16-year-old victim was stabbed on the mall's lower level near the Nordstrom entrance at 4:30 p.m. Feb. 12.

The victim was treated for injuries that were not life-threatening.

Using mall surveillance and witness information, Gang Enforcement Team detectives said they were able to identify the attacker as Louis Williams, 19.

Vancouver police officers and Clark County deputies arrested Williams late Tuesday night at Northeast 59th Street and 106th Avenue.

He was booked in the Clark County Jail on arrest warrants for attempted murder, assault and unlawful use of a weapon.

Portland police said Williams will be extradited to Multnomah County and booked into the Multnomah County Jail at a future date.
