CLACKAMAS COUNTY, OR (KPTV) -

Oregon State Police are asking for help identifying a hit-and-run driver in Clackamas County who sent a woman and her daughter to the hospital.

The collision happened at 7:23 p.m. Wednesday on Highway 224 near 82nd Drive.

Investigators said a car was stopped for a red light in the left lane behind other traffic when it was hit from behind.

The other vehicle then drove off over Interstate 205 and was last seen by a witness driving westbound on Southeast Roots Road west of the freeway.

The suspect vehicle is described as a 1980s to 1990s Chevrolet Suburban. It was two-tone gray in color with a red pinstripe. The car also had Oregon tree license plates.

The car should have right front-end damage.

The driver of the car that was hit, Tessie McQueen, 43, of Troutdale, was taken to the hospital, along with her 14-year-old daughter. Police said they were treated for minor injuries.

They were both wearing their seat belts at the time of the collision.

Investigators believe there are more witnesses who were in the area, specifically at a nearby gas station and a 7-Eleven store, who have not yet spoken to police.

Anyone with information about this investigation is asked to call Sgt. Pat Huskey at 503-731-3020, ext. 275, or email Patrick.huskey@state.or.us.
