PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Northeast Columbia Boulevard is closed near Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard after a semi and car collided.

Police say the car was headed eastbound and was attempting to turn left into McDonald's when it was struck by the semi heading westbound.

The crash knocked down a power pole and several power lines across the road.  The driver of the car was transported with non-life-threatening injuries while the semi driver was not hurt.

Neither drugs nor alcohol appear to be a factor in the crash.

Nearly 900 Pacific Power customers are in the dark and power crews are on scene hoping to restore power by 1 a.m. Friday.
