PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

The home court of the Portland Trail Blazers will look different next season, and the team wants your help with the new design.

The Blazers and Moda Health have launched the Create the Court contest.

Fans can go to www.trailblazers.com/CreateTheCourt and choose from a variety of options to create and submit their design for the court inside the Moda Center.

Options include wording on the court, color schemes, patterns and tones. In all, there are more than 184,000 possible combinations that fit within NBA guidelines.

Chris McGowan, Blazers and Moda Center president and CEO, said this will be the most visible change made to the arena in over a decade.

This last time an entirely new court was installed was the 2002-03 season.

The Trail Blazers are believed to be the first professional sports team to allow fans to design their home playing surface using a digital platform.

Fans will have until March 16 to submit their designs. The team will announce three finalists on March 24, at which point fans can vote for their favorite design through March 30. The finalist that receives the most votes will be unveiled inside the Moda Center in early October.

The creator of the winning design will receive a pair of courtside tickets to the Trail Blazers 2014-15 home opener at the Moda Center. That person will also be recognized on the big screen during the game and receive autographed team gear and a customized souvenir from the court.
