Missing WA man found safe in Salem area

ALBANY, OR (KPTV) -

A 32-year-old man from Federal Way, WA who was reported missing Monday has been found safe in the Salem area.

Federal Way police issued a missing person bulletin for Adam Standridge on Tuesday.

OSP troopers and detectives responded to the Santiam Rest Area near Milepost 241 at 2:25 p.m. Tuesday and located his silver 2012 Dodge Avenger with Washington plates. The car was abandoned and locked up on the west edge of the parking lot near the restrooms.

Several troopers from Albany and Salem checked the rest area and bank of the Santiam River but found no sign of Standridge.

The car was first noted by a rest area employee at 8 a.m. Monday.

On Wednesday, Federal Way police confirmed Standridge was found safe in Marion County. He made no statements to police regarding the circumstances surrounding his disappearance, and he was treated and released by paramedics, then transported to a shelter in Salem per his request.

Standridge is no longer considered missing, and no further details as to the reason for his disappearance were made available.
