A regular at a Canby bar is sticking to his word and splitting his Oregon Lottery jackpot with the employee who sold him the winning ticket.
Tom Larson, a regular at Mike's Place bar, hit the winning numbers last week in the "Lucky Lines" lottery game worth $28,000. He had previously asked bartender Debbie Rozzell to hold his ticket, telling her he would share the prize money if he won.
Lottery officials say Tom picked the right time to play his first game of Lucky Lines as his ticket was a winner. And sticking to his word, he gave Debbie $10,000.
"I did my happy dance", Debbie said. "I was hopping around like a bunny!"
The pair claimed their prize money Monday at the Oregon Lottery office in Salem.
