Police looking for man accused of kidnap, rape in Eugene

EUGENE, OR (KPTV) -

Eugene police are looking for a man accused of kidnapping and raping a 29-year-old woman.

The woman told investigators that a man drove up to her Tuesday on South Garden Way and forced her into his car. Eugene police said he then drove her to an unknown location in Springfield and raped her.

The woman reported the case to police Thursday.

The suspect is described as being possibly Middle Eastern, in his 20s, with black hair that is 2 to 3 inches long. He was driving a mid-1990s compact sedan, possibly a Honda, Nissan or Acura. The color is not known.

Eugene Police Department's Violent Crimes Unit is following up to investigate the report. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call Detective Matt Herbert at 541-682-5147.
