CENTRAL POINT, OR (KPTV) -

Police stopped a commercial bus in southern Oregon and found nearly $300,000 worth of heroin and methamphetamine.

Immigrations and Customs Enforcement agents and members of Medford Area Drug and Gang Enforcement searched the bus at 10:30 a.m. on March 7.

A suspect on the bus was detained at a parking lot in Central Point.

Police said they requested to look in his travel bag and found 9.24 pounds of meth. The street value is estimated to be $180,000.

Ivan Rojas-Hernandez, 29, of Salem, was arrested on charges of unlawful possession and delivery of meth.

The Associated Press reports that a tip led police and federal agents to Rojas-Hernandez. The bus was traveling from southern California.

A second unclaimed bag not believed to be associated with Rojas-Hernandez was also seized from the bus. The unclaimed bag contained 1.74 pounds of heroin, with a street value of $50,000, and 2.2 pounds of meth valued at $40,000.

The investigation is continuing into who was transporting that bag on the bus.
