George Fox University is fielding a football team this fall for the first time in 45 years.
Coach Chris Casey unveiled the game day helmet and revealed the schedule for the 2014 season on Sunday.
George Fox collaborated with Newberg company Hydro Graphics Inc. on the helmet design.
"If our team plays as well as this helmet looks, we'll be cooking with gas," Casey said.
The university's board of trustees approved the reinstallation of football in March of 2010. The school had a football program from 1894 to 1968, with the exception of a brief period in the late 1920s and during World War II, according to the school's website.
Season tickets in the covered grandstand area will be available to purchase starting March 31 via the university's athletics website. The first season includes five home games, starting Sept. 6 when George Fox hosts Arizona Christian.
Single game tickets and general admission tickets will be released later in the spring.
Students and staff will receive a complimentary ticket to each home game.
The inaugural schedule also includes games with Willamette, Linfield and Lewis & Clark.
