A log truck rolled into Phillips Creek on Monday, causing minor injuries to the driver.
Justin Wright, 33, was driving eastbound on Highway 204, about a mile west of Elgin, when he lost control of his truck while coming out of a curve.
The truck traveled onto the shoulder of the road and rolled down the embankment and into the creek. Wright was able to free himself from the truck without assistance, and Oregon State Police cited him for failure to drive within a lane.
The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality was notified of the accident, but officials haven't said whether or not there was a diesel spill from the truck.
The logging company is working with the Oregon Department of Transportation to clean the logs and wreckage from the creek.
The recovery effort is affecting both lanes of the road, and OSP suggests that travelers look for updates on TripCheck.com.
