A fisherman from Beaverton drowned after he slipped while wading in the Wilson River on Monday night.
Tillamook County rescuers said Richard Belhumeur was attempting to wade across the river. He slipped, and was carried downstream.
Divers searched the area for Belhumeur until darkness forced them to suspend their operations.
They returned to the area Tuesday and located him around 1 p.m. in about 15 feet of water. He was found a 1/4-mile downstream from where he fell.
Belhumeur was 60 years old.
