Wheelchair ramp stolen from NE Portland home

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A northeast Portland woman says a thief has made her feel trapped in her own home.

Norma Cakebread, 73, said someone stole a wheelchair ramp right off her porch Sunday night.

She lives with her adult son near Northeast 50th and Killingsworth. They are both disabled and rely on wheelchairs to get around.

"It frustrates me, really," Cakebread said. "I can't believe that somebody would need it worse than I did, unless they need it for dope money."

The ramp is valued at $400. Cakebread said she and her son are unable to afford a replacement.

If you know anything about this case, call Portland police.
