No criminal charges for student accused of taking photo up teacher's skirt

Posted: Updated:

A Vancouver high school student accused of taking a photo up a teacher's dress will not face criminal charges.

The situation at Skyview High School was reported to the Clark County Sheriff's Office last month.

Deputies said this week voyeurism charges will not be pursued because the student was dared to take the photo and investigators can't prove it was sexually motivated.

However, deputies told Fox 12 there may be some loopholes in the way the law is written that can be "tightened up" down the road.

The names of the teacher and student were not released.

Administrators said inappropriate use of technology at school is not allowed, and per district guidelines, the appropriate discipline was imposed against the student.
