LAKE OSWEGO, OR (KPTV) -

Lake Oswego police said a Clackamas dad put his daughter in a headlock while trying to take away her cell phone at a high school softball game Friday.

Officers said Brett Miller wanted to take away his daughter's phone because she threatened to call her mom and say her dad planned to drive home drunk.

Miller had been attending a varsity softball game between Clackamas and Lakeridge high schools when the dispute occurred and then escalated. Witnesses called police while Lakeridge High School staff booted Miller off the property.

Officers responded and then took him into custody. He was taken to the Clackamas County Jail and is expected to be arraigned on charges of harassment, reckless endangering and driving under the influence of intoxicants on May 6.

Miller's daughter was not injured during the confrontation.
