Good Intentions Offers Comprehensive Service Plan;

Helps Make State Compliance Easy and Worry-Free;

Includes Consultation, Application Process, Fingerprint and Background Check

CHICAGO, April 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The first medical marijuana services company in Illinois today announced a new product designed to help people with chronic illness, debilitating medical conditions and life-threatening disease navigate the process of becoming a state cardholder for the use of medical cannabis.

Good Intentions, which opened in Illinois in August 2013, unveiled a Comprehensive Service Plan for people seeking to participate in the Illinois Medical Cannabis Pilot Program, according to Dan Reid, the firm's Managing Partner.

"This service is specifically designed to make the process of becoming a legal medical marijuana cardholder in Illinois easy and worry-free," Reid said.  "People with a qualifying medical condition have enough to worry about just in dealing with their personal health.  Our Comprehensive Service Plan includes an in-office personal consultation, a patient-specific plan and timetable, coordinating the physician certification, state-required fingerprinting and background check, submittal of all forms to the state and ongoing consultation for dispensary registration and product selection."

The Comprehensive Service Plan (CSP) includes membership in The Thomas Jefferson Project, a medical marijuana patient advocacy group based in Chicago (www.thomasjeffersonproject.com).

Good Intentions has been working in the medical marijuana field since 2009. It operates a clinic in Michigan to assist patients there with physician certification and the state application process.

"State medical marijuana programs are highly complex, and Illinois is no exception," says Reid.  "We believe Illinois regulators have done a good job in developing rules for the new program, but it will not be an easy process for people to comply with the rules without some help.  You must remember that applicants have serious health issues, and this process is not like renewing your license plates – it is much more complex.  That's why our service is so necessary and needed."

The cost of the CSP is $159.  For people planning to apply on their own, Good Intentions offers its state-required fingerprint, background check and photo service a la carte through MedPrints, a service of Good Intentions that allows applicants to comply with this state-mandated requirement.

"As Illinois regulators continue to move toward finalizing the rules, we are committed to helping patients.  The CSP and MedPrints will greatly compliment our core service of working with physicians and their treatment of people with debilitating medical conditions, including conditions approved by the state for participation in the Medical Cannabis Pilot Program," says Tammy Jacobi, Chief Executive Officer of Good Intentions.
