PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Right before the start of a crucial playoff game, the Portland Trail Blazers were greeted by an unexpected and uninvited guest in the locker room.

It was a baby rattlesnake.

Guard Mo Williams posted photos of the snake on Instagram. The Trail Blazers website then reported more details.

The rattlesnake was discovered in the locker of forward Thomas Robinson at the AT&T Center in San Antonio. The Blazers were getting ready to face the Spurs in Game 2 of the Western Conference semifinals.

Robinson said the snake hissed at him. Arena security was alerted and a trash can was used to remove the snake.

No one seems to know how the snake found its way into the locker room.

The Spurs beat the Blazers 116-92 in Game 1 on Tuesday.
