SALEM, OR (KPTV) -

A reward up to $10,000 has been offered to catch a bank robber who has hit at least two banks in Oregon.

On May 2, the FBI said the suspect walked into the U.S. Bank at 3485 Commercial St. S.E. in Salem, approached the teller's desk and threatened to have a weapon.

He got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Investigators believe the same man robbed an Umpqua Bank branch at 1790 Garden Valley Blvd. in Roseburg on April 28. In that case, he also claimed to have a weapon and got away with cash.

Nobody was hurt in either robbery.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 40s or 50s, between 5'6" and 5'10" and 160 to 180 pounds with dark hair.

In the first robbery, he was wearing a dark-colored jacket, blue jeans, a baseball cap and sneakers. In the Salem robbery, he had on a gray hooded sweatshirt with the word "Oregon" on the front.

The FBI is investigating in partnership with police in Roseburg and Salem.

The reward up to $10,000 is being offered by U.S. Bank for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.

"U.S. Bank hopes that this reward will aid in the arrest and conviction of the individuals responsible and underlines the seriousness of this crime," the company said in a statement. "U.S. Bank is concerned about the welfare and safety of its employees and customers and will not tolerate either of them being placed in danger."

If you recognize the suspect, call the FBI at 503-362-6601 or 541-343-5222.
