Armstrong Airport inspected after 'non-specific' threat called in

Updated:
KENNER, LA (WVUE) -

Armstrong International Airport officials said airport facilities were inspected after a "non-specific" threat was called in to its dispatch center just after 8 p.m. Thursday.

The airport was not evacuated, but security personnel executed a precautionary security protocol of searches and inspections, and four aircraft were kept away from the building until the all-clear was given, according to airport spokeswoman Michelle Wilcutt.

Wilcutt said nothing was found, and the all-clear was given at 10:08 p.m., at which time the airport resumed normal operations.
