LONGVIEW, WA (KPTV) -

A driver and passenger were killed after passing two vehicles in a no-passing zone and crashing head-on into another car in Longview.

Police said it happened at 10 p.m. Monday on Industrial Way near Memorial Park Drive.

According to witnesses, a 1991 Honda Civic lost control heading westbound after passing cars in a no-passing zone. The Civic then collided with an eastbound 2000 Ford Mustang.

The driver of the Civic, Dakota Jenson, 20, of Toutle, was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the car, Jose Vega-Lee, 20, of Longview, was also killed.

The driver of the Mustang, Daniel Wagner, 18, and 27-year-old passenger Samuel Wagner, both of Vancouver, were taken to the hospital. Their condition was not known Tuesday.

Police said it does not appear that drugs or alcohol were contributing factors to the crash. However, the coroner's office will be conducting standard toxicology analysis, which will take approximately eight weeks to return from the Washington State Patrol Toxicology Laboratory.

Industrial Way was closed for four hours.
