New Dominion mobile charging station enables users to spend more time on the go
BALTIMORE, May 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- NV3 Technologies (NV3), America's cell phone charging technology innovator, announced today that its technology will be used at the Dominion Mobile Charging Station at Dominion Riverrock this weekend in Richmond, Va.
"Dominion asked us to design a vehicle that would allow festival-goers to charge their smart phones in an environmentally conscious manner," said Ryan Doak, CEO, NV3. "Our answer was a mobile charging trailer with solar-powered technology that makes it easier for participants at Dominion Riverrock to keep in touch with friends and family throughout the festival without their phone batteries running out."
NV3's 12-foot mobile charging trailer-the first of its kind-is powered by clean solar energy. "We wanted to make it really easy for users -- anyone can simply walk up any time and plug in. Charging cords for a number of devices and smart phones are all included," said Scott Calhoun, COO, NV3.
Dominion rented a similar prototype charging trailer from NV3 for the 2013 Richmond Folk Festival. The response was so positive that Dominion asked for a full-fledged model.
The innovative design of the mobile charging trailer makes mobilization simple and adaptable for a number of uses. The trailer comes equipped with military-grade solar panels that can keep up to 100 devices charged simultaneously. It also comes equipped with two integrated 65" commercial-grade monitors and a 500-watt audio system, capable of providing event-specific information and more.
The monitors can be controlled either locally or remotely through NV3's digital signage technology.
