Posted: Updated:

An 18-year-old accused of grabbing a Beaverton police officer's gun and firing a shot inside City Hall struck a plea deal Thursday in Washington County.

Investigators said Jared Leone was high on mushrooms at the time, and attacked officers who approached him when he asked for help in city offices.

The ensuing struggle to take him into custody was caught on surveillance cameras.

His felony charges were dropped as part of the deal, and he was sentenced to three years formal probation and ordered to pay $49,000 in restitution and fines.
