Police: Man shot in SE Portland, suspect and victim know each other

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Portland police are investigating a shooting between two people who know each other in southeast Portland.

Officers were called out to the 12800 block of Southeast Foster Road at 3:30 p.m.

Emergency crews arrived and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. Police said his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The man was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The suspect left the scene and has not been located. Preliminary information from police indicates the victim and the suspect know each other. A motive was not immediately revealed.

Police said the shooting is not gang-related.
