GRESHAM, OR (KPTV) -

A woman is charged with murder for the stabbing death of her boyfriend in Gresham.

Police were called to an apartment on the 17900 block of E. Burnside Street just after 3 a.m. Monday.

When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a stab wound and in need of immediate medical attention. Paramedics were unable to save the man's life.

He was identified later Monday as Steven Delarose, 32. Police said he was from California and involved in a domestic relationship with 33-year-old Latoya Gilbert.

Gilbert was arrested Monday in connection to the case. She was booked in the Multnomah County Jail on the charge of murder.

There are no other suspects in this case. Police said the investigation is continuing, but officers did not reveal a motive for the stabbing.
