Authorities make arrest after hours long standoff

Posted: Updated:
A man is in custody and faces domestic violence charges of strangulation, assault, coercion and menacing after he threatened others inside a Southeast Portland home Saturday night.

Police responded to the 500 block of Southeast 155th Avenue on reports that 29-year-old Gino Brown was threatening others with a firearm during a domestic violence dispute.

People inside the home were unharmed and were able to get out while Brown remained inside and refused to come out upon police using a loud speaker to try to get him to exit.

The Special Emergency Reaction Team was eventually able to arrest Brown and he's booked at the Multnomah County Jail.

Brown will be in court Tuesday.
