PHOENIX (CBS5) -

The Phoenix police chief's uniforms were stolen while they were at the dry cleaners.

Two shirts and a pair of slacks belonging to Phoenix police Chief Daniel Garcia were stolen from the Suntown cleaners at 12th Street and Northern, along with other people's clothing.

The Phoenix Police Department spokesman Steve Martos said there was nothing on the clothes to indicate they were the chief's other than a Phoenix PD patch on the sleeve.

Garcia, a Texas native, spent 34 years with the Dallas Police Department before being hired as the city of Phoenix chief of police on May 14, 2012, according to his bio on the city's website.
