Atlanta Police Department releases 'Happy' music video

Posted: Updated:

Members of the Atlanta Police Department have released evidence... that they are happy.

A new video on YouTube -- produced by the public affairs unit -- shows members of the department dancing to the song "Happy" by Pharrell Williams.

According to the clip's description, the video features both sworn and civilian APD employees from various units/sections/divisions across the city.

Atlanta Police Chief George Turner said they wanted to show police officers in a different light and let people see that they are human too.

The Public Affairs staff worked on the video for about two months and it didn't cost any money because it was all done with the department's video and editing equipment.
