CAMAS, WA (KPTV) -

A 23-year-old Washougal man armed himself with an ax and robbed the 7 Market in Camas on Tuesday morning, according to the Camas Police Department.

Police said Kiki McKendree demanded money from 7 Market on Northeast Third Avenue around 10:20 a.m. He then threw the ax at the clerk and left in a red Chrysler Sebring.

The clerk suffered minor injuries - only a minor abrasion on his forehead - and did not require medical treatment. He said the robber also broke a display case at the store.

Police searched the area and found the Chrysler Sebring abandoned at the Port of Washougal. They set up a containment in the area and a Washougal Police Department K-9 tracked down McKendree in the 2200 block of Southeast 12th Avenue.

Camas police are still investigating.
